Phase two of the refurbishment has now commenced. The access to the park via Cockpit Lane car park is closed temporarily to allow the workers access to refurbish this area of the park.
Access to the main grassed areas of the park is retained via the entrance to the rear along the path that runs the length of the park.

Update: 21st November 2013
Work has
progressed with the bespoke tables being completed with Camuru wood cladding covering
the base structure. The first paved area has been completed and a wide sweeping
gravel path laid from this area towards the main entrance. The plastic
hardstanding is being removed from the soon to be turfed areas and new planting
beds.
Also the
entrance wall is being remodelled to create a more focused entrance to the
park.
Work in
this first section is almost complete and will be moving into more of the park
over the next few weeks.
