Update: 24th October 2013

10 days into the refurbishment of Howard Palmer Gardens, part of the garden has been fenced off, the ground has been prepared and work has begun with tables with integral seating being constructed on site and Indian Sandstone paving being laid around them.  The tables have been designed to include designated space for wheel chair users.

Other works in this area will include planting trees in the centre of the tables to create a natural canopy and shade and other planting to soften the hard standing, including climbers such as wisteria and honeysuckle which will also add fragrance.

Work starts on the 15th October

For anyone who has been in the vicinity of Howard Palmer Gardens you may have noticed a number of signs indicating that works will start to re-landscape the park on the 15th October 2013.

The work will be undertaken in three phases, with the intention to retain access to parts of the park not currently undergoing significant work to the public.  It is estimated that the works will take approximately 3-4 months to complete.

The work is being undertaken by the Windsor based Berkshire Garden and Design.
