10 days into the refurbishment of Howard Palmer Gardens, part of the garden has been fenced off, the ground has been prepared and work has begun with tables with integral seating being constructed on site and Indian Sandstone paving being laid around them. The tables have been designed to include designated space for wheel chair users.
Other works in this area will include planting trees in the centre of
the tables to create a natural canopy and shade and other planting to soften
the hard standing, including climbers such as wisteria and honeysuckle which
will also add fragrance.
